wanderlust – n: a great desire to travel and rove about. Have you got a case of wanderlust? We do! Lately we’ve had the pleasure of living vicariously through Tasmanian travel blogger Brooke Saward from World of Wanderlust as she travels around the world with a pair of our Let’s Jet Around leggings in hand!
Talk about a dream job! Brooke and the team from World of Wanderlust travel the world encouraging young people to get out there and explore. On the day of her university graduation back in 2013, Brooke bought a one-way ticket to London and hasn’t looked back. Why would she? In just over a year she’s visited six continents and nearly 50 countries, literally blogging her way around the world.
Along with her blog and a to-die-for Instagram account, Brooke has now penned her very own book which provides an insight into her endeavours from the first time she travelled to the creation of World of Wanderlust. Her book The World Of Wanderlust Story explains how she made her big dream a reality harnessing the wonders of social media to launch her idea on a global stage.
We are definitely in awe. Spending a majority of her time ridin’ solo, Brooke barely took a single day off during 2014, something many big dreamers will be all too familiar. Taking the world by storm is no easy feat, however Brooke’s advice in this department is pretty #onpoint: “The truth is that if you do what you love and love what you do, it never feels like work. But it’s important to not lose sight of your morals along the way. There’s a fine line between career success and overstepping the mark. Act like a lady AND work like a boss.”
By providing a whole lot of destination inspiration, World of Wanderlust certainly have us itching to get out there and see some more.
Got the itch too? Check out some of their latest posts, including one of our favourites ‘20 foods you must eat before you die.’ We’re dreaming about that California donut.
